FEDERAZIONE SICILIANA TO HONOR SHERIFF SAUDINO
The Federazione Siciliana del New Jersey, is pleased to announce its Annual Dinner Dance, this year honoring Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino. The event will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at The Venetian, 546 River Drive, Garfield (NJ). Cocktail begins at 4:00 P.M., followed by dinner. Entertainment by Mirage.
Sheriff Michael Saudino is a 51 year resident of Bergen County and a 38 year veteran of law enforcement. Sheriff Saudino has spent the last nine years of his career as Chief of Police in the Borough of Emerson. Throughout his career, Sheriff Saudino has managed to find creative ways to decrease his operating budgets while never jeopardizing the quality of his service his department provides.
Sheriff Saudino has always believed in a responsibility to serve those around him. Sheriff Saudino is a member of the Nam Knights Motorcycle Club – a service organization made up of veterans and police officers. Sheriff Saudino is also a 20 year member of the Emerson Volunteer Fire Department where he formerly served as President. Sheriff Saudino is a 3rd-Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Throughout 2010, Sheriff Saudino served as President of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association where he was known to be a champion of increased communication between Bergen County’s police departments.
The Federazione Siciliana is a non-profit organization based in Bergen County, committed to promoting relations between the Region of Sicily and the State of New Jersey, and to fostering the exchange of cultural, commercial and entrepreneurial interactions between the two countries.
